Totally agree, saw it this morning on ESPN. He still has the fire in his belly. I wish he could have played in a FF. If anyone deserved it he did. After that MSU game I officialy retired the hat I had worn for a couple of years. I wrote #44 on the inside of the bill and hung it up. Has not touched a head since that night.

he is a stud, I am glad he's doing well. He was at UK some of the time I was there, and besides being a great player he was a very nice guy.

How I hear you. That's why any discussion of our narrow miss of the Final Four in 2005 breaks my heart still once again. (sad face). I SO BADLY WANTED Chuck Hayes to get to play in a Final Four, which he had so deserved.

Too, back to the play itself, I saw it (unbiased, of course) as the game-winner. Even one of the TNT commentators (Charles Barkley, possibly) mentioned how important Chuck's taking that charge was at that moment, as Houston only had a two-point lead at the time. Way to go, Chuck Hayes!!!
