Great read...I hope someone one day would sit down and write his biography. That would be a great read also.

I LOVE Mr. Keightley. I have always loved him. Perhaps he represents the grandfather I would have loved to have had (as one of mine died before I was born and the other when I had been only four). It seems perfect that he shares my so-special dad's birthday.
One of my happiest memories is walking in his direction at a Blue/White game. He smiled so warmly and came to shake my hand, as I'm sure I had been smiling broadly (and lovingly, actually) in his direction. KUDOS to Mr. Wildcat, whom I so respect and who has been such an important part of UK basketball's tradition.

Certainly. I don't know where you read or heard this info, TrueblueCATfan, but surely EVERYONE can agree that is nice to hear. In fact, I mostly like to read anything said GOOD about anyone, and it's naturally nice to read that there were GOOD things said about Coach Gillispie and our returning UK players.
Too, it's appropriate that this post is in a thread about Mr. Keightley. From everything I have read and heard about him, he himself essentially sees GOOD in everyone. Further, it seems the man is always SMILING, since he's seeing so much GOOD, I suppose. Still again, how I admire and love Mr. Keightley and am so thrilled his contributions were rewarded and celebrated last evening.
