Question. Is that 50 seconds from the time you started writing that post, or from the time you submitted the post?

I need to know. I DO NOT want to be late for this one.

It would be nice to get a running clock on here. I wonder if that is a possibility from the Mods?

Here is the language we need to make it happen...can a moderator make this happen...just copy and paste this into your program!

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
<!-- Begin
function getTime() {
now = new Date();
//Change the date in the line below to your countdown date in 24 hour military time.
y2k = new Date("Oct 13 2007 21:00:00");
days = (y2k - now) / 1000 / 60 / 60 / 24;
daysRound = Math.floor(days);
hours = (y2k - now) / 1000 / 60 / 60 - (24 * daysRound);
hoursRound = Math.floor(hours);
minutes = (y2k - now) / 1000 /60 - (24 * 60 * daysRound) - (60 * hoursRound);
minutesRound = Math.floor(minutes);
seconds = (y2k - now) / 1000 - (24 * 60 * 60 * daysRound) - (60 * 60 * hoursRound) - (60 * minutesRound);
secondsRound = Math.round(seconds);
sec = (secondsRound == 1) ? " second." : " seconds.";
min = (minutesRound == 1) ? " minute" : " minutes, ";
hr = (hoursRound == 1) ? " hour" : " hours, ";
dy = (daysRound == 1) ? " day" : " days, "
document.timeForm.input1.value = "Time remaining: " + daysRound + dy + hoursRound + hr + minutesRound + min + secondsRound + sec;
newtime = window.setTimeout("getTime();", 1000);
}
// End -->
</script>

I have never been to this event and would really like to go this year. Is there a way for an average person who has to work to be able to actually get a ticket???;)
I didn't know if they are put on sale over the web, or if you actually have to be there when they are allotted>:confused:

Last year, the first time Madness was held at Rupp Arena, drew a national-record 23,174 fans for UK's first practice. 20,000 tickets were snapped up in the first 35 minutes of availability.

Tickets sold ONLY at the Memorial Coliseum ticket office, online at UKathletics.com, and at all Kentucky-area TicketMaster outlets.

Brilliant idea Craig, that would be pretty cool. Thanks to Blueneck and a lot of words and symbols that would make me lose my mind, maybe it will happen.

A clock that counts down to when Jai and Patrick signs would be just as long.:icon_mrgreen:

Don't get me wrong, I am very excited about the start of BB season. Probably as excited as I have been in a long time. But I think our FB team is going to have another great year and can't wait for that season to begin.:thumbup:

I am probably just as excited as both of you are, but I am also VERY excited about the beginning of basketball season. Perhaps we can just get two clocks?

I support our football cats as well. I hope you're right about another great year, they've got what looks to be a tougher schedule this year. I wasn't trying to be a turd.:thumbup: :)

Is that the ball that is oblong and does not bounce worth a lick?

Let's just make sure we check with the Athletic department on the time the team is announced and starts practice which is now a couple of hours before midnight to make it more family friendly and allow more people to go. Hence the official name change to Big Blue Madness instead of Midnight Madness.

Can we get a clock in the basketball forum for Madness and another in the football forum for the first kickoff???

What's the deal with that? When do people start camping out? Is tailgating out of a tent legal? I'll be a freshmen next year and i can't put into words how cool its gonna be camping out.

Many folks do bring tents, mostly depends upon the weather for what you need. Some camp out for a few days before, but the vast majority come sometime the night before.

Since it is on campus (and I guess you'll be 18 so it shouldn't matter), alcoholic beverages are forbidden. Just be sure to bring at least one friend so that you can take turns for food/bathroom runs and some cards or a football or something to pass the time!
