I just wanted to send the message to you that I had understood and appreciated some of the comments you had made in your thread. My reaction had been that you were merely trying to explain that your perspective comes from A LOT LESS years of watching UK basketball than many of us here (and that is certainly true in comparison to this "old" lady--lol). You even went on to say that you have LEARNED A LOT about UK basketball from us guys (and gals, I hope--lol).
Anyway, I had thought that a nice post in that regard deserved a nice, appreciative response from us older folks. I could not respond there to say that, as the thread had eventually been closed. Trust me, though, more years do not necessarily make us the wiser. lol It certainly doesn't make us any more "right" about something. By the way, I have no idea to what had been objected to in the past, or what opinion you have expressed in previous posts or anything, so my response to you is only about that one particular post, nothing more.
We are ALL, regardless of age (and, no, you do NOT post as if you are four years old here, which the other poster later cleared up), only expressing OPINIONS here, and they are often differing reactions to the same game, the same quotes, the same whatever. Too, everyone will NEVER "see eye-to-eye" on UK basketball or any other subject, and I don't think we would even want everyone to see things exactly the same.
Hopefully, of course, we will all continue to be civil toward one another and show one another respect. As I see it, no one here is better (or worse) than anyone else, regardless of age or any other categorizations. We are all human beings who naturally have different opinions. Most of all, ALMOST ALL (as a few Louisville fans enter discussions) who post here LOVE UK basketball (and LOVE the basketball hire, I might add). As I see it, that's what matters.
Again, I had felt the post had been sincere, and I had appreciated the respect given to my many more years--although they mean nothing, just as our number of posts here mean nothing. Have a nice day (and anyone else who read my message to you).
P.S. Moderators, please close this thread before it begins, if you choose (and it's not meant to be a thread, but merely a single response to the starter of that thread). It was just something I had wanted to say to a poster. If you see any POTENTIAL problem (because, again, the thread had obviously been closed), I would prefer that you simply CLOSE THIS THREAD to comments. Certainly if there is any "history" between some of the posters on the other thread, I do NOT want any of that to continue here.
