I keep hearing on here that its on Wednesday from Jai, but i haven't seen any hard evidence. Matt Jones also says today at 2:30. We shall see...

My heart AND my brain says Kentucky. Kentucky is the logical choice for Lucas to make. The only doubt is, you never know what an 18 year olds thought process is or what they will base their decision on. I've got my fingers crossed.

I went over to some Florida boards and they ALL say that it's decided...Lucas to Florida will be announced. Obviously they don't know anymore than we do, but they are pretty confident.

I am thinking that somehow BCG will land Lucas and Patterson.Then somehow work a little scholly magic and bring in Hamga. I just really feel these guys realize what kind of class along with Legion that would be and what kind of magic they could have in the next four years. Just an opinion.

Not much new, but a few more folks are saying the same thing Marc Maggard is saying.

Did Maggard say that the coaches "thought" they would get a commitment, or that they did indeed get a commitment today?

I put UK, but honestly I don't really care. I am not saying that as sour grapes. I would take Jai and I think he is a nice player and nice young man, but I just don't think PG is a great need. Plus, we already have a lot of schollies tied up in 06 and 07 guys, I really would not mind keeping one for next year, or using the last two on big guys. My only real concern about it is that it pretty much guarantees Patterson to UF and I hate to see Donovan win at anything at this point. PG is not going to be a problem at UK under BCG it appears. PGs want to play for him, so missing out on Lucas does not seem to be much of problem if he does indeed pick UF.
Side note, remember ALL of the rumblings were that Morris was going to GT and we saw how that happened. People start guessing when it gets close and figure they have a 50-50 shot and it gets rolling. It may be true, but I wouldn't take anything as fact untill 3:45 or so today.

I agree I think UF, But I have a gut feeling that PP will shock us all and come to UK. Alot of what I have read, I get the feeling that he is not as cocerned with playing with JL as JL is with playing with PP.

I don't see Jai signing a letter of intent or telling anyone anything before he announces his choice at the press conference. Why wait this long to let the CAT out of the bag early? If it was as simple to him as signing a LOI or commiting there would be no need for a press conference. I am mixed on whether or not he will come to UK, if he does great, if he doesn't let Jasper defend him next season! :)

I must admit Billy G has made me not care about the Lucas or Patterson recruitment nearly as much as I did 2 months ago. When I say this, I am speaking of the incredible passion he has brought back to UK recruiting in his first month. This has now made me think these two are not all that critical in the big picture of UK recruiting. Not trying to bash Tubby, but had he still been here I would have thought JL and PP are must have recruits. Now, with all the excitement Billy G has brought and all the attention we are now getting from top recruits, if we miss out on these two, I feel there will be two others just as good right around the corner waiting to take those empty schollies.

However, I definitely will not be disappointed if we get both JL and PP :)
