Augustus Gilchrist Since this Big Fella has decided not to go to VA Tech, saying that he isn't mentally prepared to go there because the campus needs a year to heal, do you think CBC will look at this kid if PP says no?

Led by Virginia Tech recruit Augustus Gilchrist, the Capital All-Stars defeated the U.S. All-Stars in last night's Capital Classic held at the Comcast Center on the campus of the University of Maryland. Gilchrist, who captured MVP honors, scored 24 points in the 149-145 win. Fellow Tech recruit Malcolm Delaney turned in a fantastic outing for the U.S. team in a losing effort.

From the bits and pieces I have heard from those familiar with his play, I think CBC would be burning a scholly just to burn one. However, he is a glaring need. I say suck it up for a year and save the scholly to someone that warrants it in 2008. I can take a year with a 4 gaurds running the show.

You're probably right. Can't base his game on one solid game in the Capital Classic. I imagine CBC has looked at this kid and can tell if he has enough junk in the trunk to compete on UK level?

he isn't much better than aj stewart that we have, so i dunno, billy clyde will know what to do by estimating how good a chance we have with 08 players
