hey guys, i wanted to bring this up in here and see how you UL guys feel about it as well as my UK brethren. XM radio had a report about billy d interveiwing with the magic on friday. now, it's all just rumors for now. but, am i the only one who finds that really shady??? i mean i know he has to listen. but, he just took a commit from a pg and would really leave the gators high and dry if he decided to go this late. this is not me being bitter because, most of you know that's not who i am. i just find it really really shady on his behalf if he does interview. if he takes the job than he's an absolute heartless jerk. just throwing something out there to debate.

I agree. It would be totally classless if he left now. You know he told Lucas he was staying, otherwise he probably wouldn't have come. If he were to pull the rug out from under his kids now, I'd lose what little respect I have left for him.

Coaches have no loyalty anymore, See Petrino,Gillespie, etc. I think Lucas was far more concerned about Green signing with an agent then he was Donovan looking at other jobs.

If Donovan leaves, I wonder if UF will go after Gillespie?

I think you mean Petrino and Pitino.

After Petrino told a UofL athletic dept employee the Atlanta Falcon rumors weren't true, he walked 100 more yards to meet with his players to announce he was gone....nothing will shock me anymore. But, I agree with you guys, it would take a real buttnugget to mislead a kid one day and leave two days later. It would on the other hand really help uk, Pat Pat and Lucas would be free to leave....

TB, your obsession is starting to rival another poster on this site...you are better than that and I know you have more material.

Gillespie "renegotiated" his contract at Texas A&M, promised the fans and administration there he was staying for the long haul, sat on the contract a week waiting for Uk to call, and then left on the first flight out of town.

Find a coach that has real loyalty and I bet they are over 60 years of age.

No ones brought this up yet. If Donovan bails, Patterson and Lucas may try to get out of their LOI's and come to UK. I dont think its too far-fetched.

Edit: Never mind Rick said it

I think Patterson to Florida is a "done deal", because my "bookie daddy told me"

It business, plain and simple. You are going to have kids coming in every year. You HAVE to tell them you are going to be there or you'll start losing recruits. Is it fair? No, but some kid is going to sign and get left out in the cold.

You think Billy Clyde told his recruits he wasn't going to be at TAM next season?

i understand that. but, to take a commit this late in the game and then maybe bail just a few days later is absurd. the worst part would be that lucas is now at that school's mercy if this happens. they could refuse to release him if they choose. and honestly, i really don't want lucas to run back to us if billy d leaves. i've said all week how i don't think a 5-10 PG was going to help us next year. we need rebounding from all five positions and lucas can't give us that.
