Just talking to a couple of guys from work and one of the Dr's who is big on the local HS scene.
The one that works really close to Coach McGuffin's ex-wife says that he still feels that Patterson is a UK lean. Says that she will not open up and say much, but I am not sure that she knows. Says how much he liked the way that Billy Clyde layed out how he would be used, and his mom really liked him, more than she liked Tubby and she liked him alot.
Another one of the guys says that he is pretty sure that Patterson will be at UK. Says he has even heard that Patterson has enrolled in summer school.
The doc says UK as well, from all his friends on the HS scene.
Me, I say I will tell ya around 3:45 tomorrow. I'll be glad when this is all over.
I wish him the best no matter where he goes.

I agree, if BCG pulls this off with Alex Legion, I would consider it one hell of a job for such a short period of time. I cant wait to see them on the court, if BCG is as good as a coach as he is a recruiter WOW.

No. Corbin is in southcentral Kentucky in Whitley County, near London and Williamsburg. (I grew up in McCreary County, which is just west of Whitley County.)
Flatwoods is in Greenup County, which is on the West Virginia border.

There is an area known as Flatwoods close to Corbin. Actually it's closer to Keavy. No, it's not a town but if your around that area and are going to Flatwoods your going out close to Laurel Lake.

I believe I also heard today that HHS principal was a UK grad.
I also believe that most of the 6 major players on their team are playing close to home, Mayo is going to USC, another is going to Oklahoma.
I do know that alot of people want him to go to UK so that they can go see him play.
But the big thing that I think is that Mom and Patterson both really like the way Billy Clyde turned up the heat.

first i would like to say that i have changed my mind about pp , i think he is leanig toward ky. otherwise jai woul not be trying to persuade him to follow to fl. second in my opinion i think coach has done a wonderfull job that we will have wonderfull year with the recruits that we already have.i also think the extra [1] scholarship for next year's recruits will make recruiting the future much easier to fill the needs of our team!!!!!!!

I'm not normally a pessimistic sports fan--I manage to convince myself each March that the Orioles have a legitimate shot at making the AL East a three-horse race--but I think over the last few years, up to and including the three decisions on Monday, there have been so many recruits that have had UK in their top 2 or 3 and chosen the other school that I'm just conditioned to assume the worst when it comes to basketball recruiting (e.g., Brandan Wright, Tyler Hansbrough, Deon Thompson, Thad Young, Jai Lucas, Beas Hamga, Dan Werner, David Lee, Mohammed Abukar, Gani Lawal, Korvotney Barber, Tasmin Mitchell, Darius Rice, and several others I'm probably forgetting).
But dammit, karma owes us one, doesn't it?

My wife grew up in Flatwoods, 5 miles from Corbin. Thats why I asked.
There are a whole lot of UK fans in Hunington, so I would think if he talked to his friends they are leaning towards UK. His coach would probably rather him be at UK because he would get to see all of his games on TV and could attend fairly easily also. UF has been on a roll, so who knows, but there are a lot of reasons for him to come to UK even beyond the fact that he is pretty much guaranteed 30 minutes a game right away.

I didn't make the presser. I would have loved to have went, but all hell broke out at work today and I couldn't get away. All I seen of the presser was the very beginning till he put on the UK hat.
There was a lot of people holding their breath at the hospital today. Even 3 went into cardiac arrest while holding it.
