If Patterson is still considering Duke, they should be on a few of those (coaching stability, for instance)

Oh, I agree...but this was taken with the assumption that Duke was out of the equation, per Matt Jones.

i have to disagree here. I think he gets more playing time at UF. They have lost basically their whole team from last year, whereas, at least early on in the season we would have stevenson and possibly jasper (if we run 4 guards) starting ahead of him. I feel the imediate impact would be about even as well because UF will desperately need a PP type player as well to compete next season. In terms of everything else i think you hit it right on th head. Proximity to his family might be a bigger factor than some think (i.e. Sanchez) and might swing the vote UK's way on this one.

Playing time and impact are very available at UK for a power forward. This position has been our biggest need since Chuck Hayes graduated.

If PP is anywhere close to being as advertised I can not see him getting more playing time anywhere in the country. If he does not start from day 1 @ UK I would have to think Coach G is trying to keep the burden of expectations off him. Even with the losses at UF, I don't know their front line is any more needy than ours. The flip side of the coin, if he commits to UF, I sure hope you're right in your assessment!

At Florida he has a greater risk of getting skin cancer.

IF you check rivals and look at the recruiting classes for Florida last couple of years they have gotten a PF every year. including a 4 star this year and last. They have 3 on the roster not counting PP. We have 1. Maybe 2 if you count AJ Stewart, although I see him evolving as a wing. I can easily see us playing both AJ and PP or Stevenson and PP on the floor at the same time.

These were just obvious pros and cons...I'm not going to spend an hour coming up with every single possibility lol.

Speights is there...as well as Werner...and they also signed a 4 star PF this year....the name slips my mind at the moment....but he's rivals #21 player in the country.

He is listed as a five star: Chandler Parsons, I stand corrected They did get a four star: Alex Tyrus

Theme Parks: Advantage Florida

It's true. Shrek 4-D or Space Mountain may be the deciding factor in all of this.
