What happens if Donovan leaves for the NBA? Say he does take the Orlando job and Jai Lucas says "Ya know what, Id rather play at UK" Would we accept him if he got out of a LOI and said he wanted to play for us? Im not too sure about this one. (Not likely it will happen, just thought itd make good discussion)

I say no. He made his bed, let him lie in it.

Let Oklahoma St. deal with him, if he can find someone that will let him ride their coattails into Stillwater. I hope we are done with this guy.

No.

I respect the decision he made, he had all the factors on the table and he chose UF. He had to know this entered into the equation. That being said, if this was in fact a negative in his book and he still fealt strongly about going to UF, that puts us as a big time second place runner up.

I wouldnt take him now. I think since everyone has percieved JL and PP as a package deal, the primary reason cats fans wanted him was so he could talk PP into coming. If UK inks PP today, I think there is much less motivation and that much more reason to say "thanks, but no thanks" to the kid.

Im not big on Jai Lucas. I didn't want him on are team anyways. I think we have pretty good guards already.. But we do need a big man, besides Carter & Williams.. I hope Patterson comes to UK. But im not getting my hopes up.

He is too short to play for UK. It would be an old Brandon Stockton rerun... Remember BRN2BNK, "Stockton is the future."

I think you have me mistaken for someone else. I havent been on this board very long (March 2007). Last time I checked, Stockton wasn't with us this year.

There you go slamming people again.

No, my friend, I am certain it was you. I heard it straight from the horse's mouth on this one. For one and all, this poster declared Brandon Stockton "The Future of Kentucky Basketball" after he joined the team! I love BS, but he was not the future! :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

So I got a little excited. Craig--you and I watched him play many games upon coming into college. I bought into the Kentucky boy hype. I was wrong, and I have caught the heat for it.

I wish I could be as perfect as you.

I think many would share those aspirations with you...

I always thought he was a step slow to be effective at 5'8". you can play in college at that height but you have to be lightning quick. Anything less than blazing fast and your height becomes a glaring problem. I like Stockton, but I never thought he would have success at UK. I think Lucas will be a success, but I still don't care that we missed on him. I will take a similarly ranked 6'6" PG over a 5'8" one every time. I think Jasper has a solid SO year and makes us all forget Lucas other than when he comes off the bench for a few minutes a game for Florida.
