The way I understand it (and this is only from reading various articles available on the web), only Patterson and his parents know his choice. He even said he wasn't going to call the coaches and tell them; he'll just let them find out at the same time as everyone else.

I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't tell the coaches where he is going, but he would tell a recruiting analyst.

First of all, he's not the only one who thought Donovan was a done deal. If you remember correctly The Cats Pause and WLEX reported it to be fact. Secondly, he is not the kind of guy to get us all worked up in a frenzy to laugh at us. He's a classy poster (even if he does root for the dark side) and it's just plain silly to think he's intentionally lying to us on our board.

1) To Rick, the source may actually have a name...gasp
2) I believe Rick would have NOT come to the board again if incorrect. I've had some small amount of contact w/ him off the board, but always came away impressed. Nothing against you, but I believe him when he isn't talking smack.

Big difference to spout as many have thoughout this ordeal, and the way Rick posted IMO. Sounded principled to me, which is why I posted the way I did.
