And how can you look at the basketball coaches? Our coach hasnt even had a game at UK yet. Theres a big difference in the programs of Kentucky and Texas A&M and being able to land top 25 recruits. HUGE difference. And face it, your coach is WAY past his prime. How many NITS has your coach been to the last 5 years? I remember when you all got excited about being a number 1 seed in the NIT. Not something to be proud of. And if your coach is so much better than ours, why isnt he recruiting a top 10 class? Why hasnt he won a championship yet? Yea he has 1 final four under his belt there but he got blown out in that game. I can understand the football programs. Thats a given. But you cant deny or ignore the fact that UKs program is on the rise. We will be a top 25 team this year. Regardless if you like it or not

How do I feel? It feels great to have a football team AND basketball team ranked in the preseason top 10. It must really suck to be unranked at both. It must really suck to have a basketball coach that has never been past the sweet 16. It must suck to have Grandpa Brooks as your football coach. What's the best that you could ever hope for? I'm just fine with where we stand. Coming off a bowl win, which had been a long time coming. I'm excited about having a new coach and looking forward to a new season to see what he can accomplish.

As for PRE-SEASON rankings, they don't make me wet my pants as they do some, but I will start looking at them 3 or 4 weeks into the season. Placing a team before they even hit the field makes no sense to me.
