I am voting Anthony Grant. I could easily see them hiring someone from out of left field, however. BD was somewhat of an inconspicuous hire when he came on.
Grant. Some reports had him in Gainsville yesterday and had him calling a meeting with his assistant coaches for late last night.
This has been the craziest off season I can remember.

Dicky V. Sorry, just wanted to inject a bit of humor here.

Based on what I've read, I voted that I'll bet they get Anthony Grant. I hope they get Tom Crean, though, for the same reasons I hoped that UK did not get him.

Seems to me that because of the time frame they are working with they would promote Larry Schyatt(sp?) as interm head coach for the season.
I would think in fairness they would give him a shot for the season, sort of as a working interview. Then once the season is over, they have more time to decide if he is the guy or if they should look to find a replacement.
If they dont promote from within it would seem likely that Anthony Grant is the first choice.

Amid early reports that UF could hire former Gators assistant Anthony Grant -- now coach at Virginia Commonwealth -- as Donovan's successor, both families said their preference would be for a familiar face.
"I think Anthony Grant is a stand-up guy and a very good coach," John Calathes said. "We've known him all the way back since Nicky was 10 or so from Gator camps and all that stuff."
