on the use of references to "Billy Donovan," "BD," "Billy the Kid," and "Eddie Munster" on this message board. Between the grueling month of March, the NBA speculation, the Patterson/Lucas recruiting soap opera, and now his departure to Orlando, I've reached a point of saturation with all things concerning, um, that Florida guy. Granted, recent developments have been big news, and the hoopla in March was understandable (but still insane). But now that he-of-the-slick-hair is out of our hair, I say good riddance and ask that someone please spray some Lysol, put out some potpourri, and return to talking about Kentucky basketball. Our obsession with his every move, whim, lie, tie color, and unconscious psychological motivation is getting lurid.

Farewell forever Florida guy, and Long Live Billy G.!

Farewell forever Florida guy

And what if that Florida guy became your head coach in the future? :shrug1:

Oh Lord, let's please not go there. Let's just let Billy G be the man for a while.... maybe until he's 80 or so.

I believe what you're really requesting is a "moratorium"? Good luck with that. ;)

There is now only 'ONE' Billy in the SEC, so you don't have to say billy D or billy G any longer.

I pay about as much attention to the NBA as I do Mongolian llama racing, which is why I feel that the coach with interesting eyebrows is out of sight and out of mind. However, I get your point: he will probably follow the typical pattern of earning millions of dollars and dozens of wins in the pros and come falling back to the college ranks where a South Carolina (Spurrier) or Loonyville (Pitino) will snap him up and the rumors in Ky will errupt again ("J.P. Blevins told my cousin at Fazolis last night...").

At least we have three or four years until that day.

Now that...I can agree with.

I sure hope not. I really want a great coach and one that stays. Please don't tell me that if our new coach is successful, he will leave for the NBA. That is getting old fast.

Or it could be the opposite of that.

I hope Billy Gillispie retires as the head coach of Kentucky after he hangs 4-6 new banners.

I think Billy G. will be at Kentucky longer than three or four years; I just meant that the richest man in Gainesville will wash out of the NBA in that time.
