Billy Donovan!!!

Wouldn't that be funny if irony played itself out just like it went for Pitino and Billy needed back in the college ranks? I certainly wish him all the best but, if the situation presented itself over time, I doubt Billy would move far from Florida if out of Florida at all. Just some funny food for thought!

The really sad part about this is that we'll never know if Billy was that good or if the 4 kids were that good? The real test would have been his coaching this year at UF with almost 90% of his scoring gone. He did a good job after Roberson, Walsh and Lee left. Oh well, we'll never know unless he lights up the NBA.

Careful, that's dangerous ground. I once suggested the latter and was shot down. When I asked why, his improvement as a coach was "obvious," yet for some reason no specifics about it could be named. I'm still open to instruction, but I'm not convinced it was anything better than overwhelming talent as yet.

That has kind of already been done. Leonard Hamilton left Miami for the NBA and came back to Florida State.
