Billy Donovan is gone, and Florida, while not necessarily going back to the pre-Donovan doldrums, is going to slide back for a while.
Dook has been in a considerable slide for years now, excluding its one national championship with a hellacious roster.
Ohio State, after a long absence from the limelight, has bounced back in a big way, and is likely here to stay (so long as Matta remains in Columbus).
North Carolina, after some ugly times under Doherty and subpar years at the tail end of Smith's regime, is as strong as ever under Roy.
UCLA, the left coast's premier team, has finally got things back in working order with back-to-back final fours and a coach who knows what's going on.
Indiana, struggling to get great players under Mike Davis, has made a hire still unloved by many, but who can flat out recruit and teach defense and rebounding. Indiana is a preseason top 15 team in many eyes.
Cincinnati's got a solid recruiter and better coach than most give credit for in Mick Cronin.
Even Louisville, after dumping Crum/naming court after him/hiring Pitino, looks to return to the prestige they had in the past with a solid group of returnees.
Most importantly, our Cats are now lead by a guy who has been perfect thusfar as coach.
Anyone else seeing a return to tradition (pre-1980's) in the likely fall of some upstarts, and rise of old powerhouses?
