all other areas of his game are going well, but man he is really struggling putting the ball in the basket.........looks as if he has lost confidence in this series.

Hate to say it, but he's been dominated by LeBron. The physical advantage LeBron has when he goes against Tayshaun is almost startling.

Tayshaun is a good, solid player; LeBron will be one of the greatest to ever play the game.

Not to mention Flip Saunders is horrible...he was a very bad hire by Detroit IMO, and I'm not just saying this now...I didn't like the hire the minute he was announced. His style is just waaaay too passive and finesse for the NBA, especially NBA play-off basketball, and that is not what this Detroit team was built to be. I look for a coaching change in Detroit soon.

The NBA is all about match-ups and Lebron uses his strength to his advantage very well and gets away with a lot of bull rushing drives and moves which are impossible for Tayshaun to stop who gives up 30 lbs to Lebron. Tayshaun is a much better defender on guys like Kobe, McGrady etc.

It was sad to see the Pistons dominated, but it happened. Some analyst, I forget whom or where, criticized Lebron just before the playoffs as a guy who disappears when the Cavs really need him at stretch time. I hadn't followed LJ's career enough to know. That, or something, lit a match under the Superstar, and he is able to dominate vs any defense thrown at him in this season's playoffs so far. LJ is scary good. There is a growing argument between Kobe's and Lebron's fans as to who the best player now in the NBA is. At the moment, Kobe isn't playing and Lebron is performing on basketball's big stage to large acclimations. I would enjoy it that way if he didn't kill our Pistons.

Tay is not among the Superstars in the NBA, but he is a solid star-quality player. I hope he enjoys a rest of quietness for a little while during the off season.

Tayshaun being posterized on that dunk by LeBron in game 5 will tough for him to live down. Too bad for Tayshaun. :icon_sad: No UK players in the fianls for the first time in three years.

It's not just Tayshuan's defense that looked bad- and for the record, Flip Saunders shares a ton of blame for the Piston's poor defense- but Prince's offense was horrid during the Cleveland series.

Never mind that Cleveland didn't really have any good defenders themselves. Prince just looked like a shell of his former self. This guy killed the Bulls in their first couple of games, but he had ZERO confidence on offense against the Cavs.

This Pistons team is DOA. No star player who can create his own offense. Tired legs on defense. And my biggest gripe is their whiney-wussy-crybaby attitude. Grow up, Detroit.

This is what happens when guys who do not have the best form on their jump shots (I.E. Prince, Marion)

Prince sticks his elbow out too far when he shoots a jump shot. There is really nothing wrong with that because it works for him, but there is no way he would be able to correct this at this stage of his career.

But when players who shoot like this get in slumps it is hard to break out of it. He doesn't have that natural jump shot to help end the slide. It almost looked like he was aiming instead of just letting it naturally go. You can really tell when somebody is struggling.

Plus he devoted a lot of time and energy on the defensive end. Battled Deng in the Chicago series and fought a war with the King.

I admire Prince's poise in the post game interviews. He seems like a well spoken man.

Flip Saunders does it again, great teams in regular season and flames out in the playoffs....man I swear between the NBA and NFL I've never seen so many retreads in coaching hires...even if Billy D sux in the pros at least they tried something different...

I agree that he put a lot if not all of his effort into shuting LeBron down but even in game 6 he shot horribly and they had put Rip on LB all night.

I have to disagree somewhat with your point about his jumpshot form. Prince was missing jumpshots, yes, but I was very disappointed with his inability to finish inside. He continually missed easy layups and wide open litttle bunnies and these shots have nothing to do with his jumpshooting form. IMO his focus, along with everyone one else on Detroit, was extremely low and they caught the cavs (especially in games 5 and 6 on a hot streak)
