The saga of Smith appears to be over or nearly over. If he is eligible, Lofton and Smith will be a dynamic duo. Smith does a lot of things, inlcuding penetrating and dishing. I was impressed with his passing abilities, in addition to his ability to score. He will be much better for Lofton than was Bradshaw.

UT might make a run this year, again.

Pretty sure Smith got an exemption from the NCAA that granted him eligibility this coming season. Not sure if that exemption had to do with Alford's departure or Smith's father's illness.

I hear he's trying to get a hardship because of his father's illiness (cancer I think) but don't see how he can get one, best wishes to him and his family though...man Pearl is stacking them down there, if he gets Singleton or Osby or Miller or Elliot Williams, and puts it together with Crews, and the two Smiths they are going to be one heck of a team...

Looks like Smith's eligibility this season has to do with his father. "Extenuating family circumstances," the NCAA calls it.

That is the way I remember it, as well.
