Any news that is actual news that you get at this time of year is bad. It's being reported that Bailey, Stafford, Hibbard, and Drayton are not qualified, Jefferson is in jail, and Moncel Allen, although he is in Lexington, is way out of shape. We knew about Stafford and Jefferson, but the others are a surprise. Drayton reportedly didn't graduate from his prep school. My understanding is that graduating from prep school is a nonissue, that all they have to do in prep school is pick up whatever core courses they are lacking, if any, and get their test scores up to qualifying if their test scores were the problem. But, he's not on campus.

I know the feeling, and I had dreaded opening the link. YET, it could be worse. Moncell Allen still has time to get into shape. Too, at least it's not news that either Christian Johnson or Jamil Paris will not be suiting up in the fall (news I had feared reading, OR that a player other than Jefferson had gotten into trouble OR had had some freakish injury).

Here's hoping for no more bad news for UK football "this time of year." I do understand what you are saying. GO CATS!

If he had made some rude comment about the situation...maybe, but he just stated the fact that he is in jail.

Don't worry about it. Tipton or Cosby will confirm it in the Herald Leader in three weeks or so.

It's why you give out some preferred walk-ons every year. This staff does that well. They have done well with numbers and their balance of late.

You tell the first 22 they have scholarships. You tell another 5-7 they have preferred walk-on status. They can grayshirt or something. Stuff happens. Stuff happens to members of the team. I've been real excited opening this thread and seeing a little news about recruiting. :) Go Cats!

Tyler Wimsatt kicked off of UL's team.

Also, Matt Jones informed that Boswell is not yet eligible, although he is in Lexington.
