LEXINGTON — Andre’ Woodson doesn’t need to do many interviews now a days, although he’ll do one at 6 tonight in Radcliff while serving as a guest speaker at his alma mater during North Hardin High School’s annual youth football camp.
The reason is simple: Everyone else seems to be doing plenty of talking for him (or about him).
Pick up any of the four national magazines that are on newsstands now and you’ll quickly find out the University of Kentucky standout senior quarterback has the college football world abuzz about his and the Wildcats’ potential this coming fall.
He graces the cover of Athlon Sports’ Southeastern Football Edition. On page 126 begins the magazine’s ode to Kentucky’s school record holder for consecutive passes (162) without an interception.
This magazine, which named him to the 2007 Athlon Preseason All-SEC Team’s first-team offense, expects Woodson to keep the scoreboard numbers moving.
“Kentucky will score. This much seems certain,” the Two-Minute Drill reads. “In quarterback Andre’ Woodson, wide receiver Keenan Burton and tailback Rafael Little, the Wildcats have three players who would see significant reps for any team in the SEC.”
The accompanying article stated Woodson, Burton and Little are “three of the Southeastern Conference’s most electric players.”
