RADCLIFF — Andre’ Woodson is on pace to earn his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology this coming spring from the University of Kentucky, but the Wildcats’ senior quarterback faced a firing squad when Joe Washington, the coach of his high school alma mater, invited him to speak to the campers at the annual North Hardin High School football camp at Trojan Field:

Are you better than Randy Moss?

Will you win the Heisman this season?

Who’s a better quarterback, you or Brian Brohm?

After his 30-minute speaking engagement was through n the golden-arm quarterback didn’t throw a pass but he did drop the ball while walking up the bleachers n Woodson looked more frazzled than after some of his less than sparkling performances for the Wildcats in the past few years.

But he took in all of the campers’ inquiries in stride. He was funny at times, serious at others and usually politically correct (with the season roughly two months from kicking off, Woodson was wise not to toss out some bulletin-board material for Internet vultures to feast upon).

More often than not, what Woodson talked about came back to something that was instilled in him back in his playing days at Radcliff Middle and North Hardin: Believe in yourself.

Believe in yourself is the same thing Burton told the campers at UKs youth camp yesterday.
