Sounds like a great 2nd half rally for the Cats---but once again Lexington proves that it's just not a sports town. If support for the Cats didn't come from all around the state, their attendance too would be lousy---3200+ for this probably final Ky-Tenn HS game? Sheesh!

We have really turned this series around winning 5 of the last 6! I would love to keep this alive and coupled with our Wildcats doing better on the field, we could really use this to our recruiting advantage!

didn't know the cats were playing? Sounded like the future Cards had a little something to do with the outcome as well.

It's difficult to get folks out for HS Football All Star game in June and frankly I don't like these games. They mean nothing, I don't think the winner gains any recruiting advantage at all. The risk of injury to these kids is just to great,IMO.

There's been talk that the annual Kentucky-Tennessee high school football series may be coming to an end. If that's the case, Kentucky went out with a bang, scoring the game's final 21 points last night to post a 38-24 win in front of a crowd of 3,268 at Commonwealth Stadium.
It was Kentucky's fifth win in the last six games between the two states.

Series coming to an end? I guess the Tennessee crowd is tired of losing every year to a bunch of kids from a "basketball state."
Kentucky's dominance in this series is one of the primary reasons I believe Kentucky may finally turn the corner in SEC football. We produce more D1 talent every year. If we can lure most of these kids to UK, we will be in great shape.

This should have been a year when UL fans attended in mass to watch and support their future studs.

In High School is Kentucky a "basketball state"? I think Kentucky is an excellent sports state. Football, Basketball, Cheerleading, Golf... you name it there are some really talented kids out there.
One of the goals of Game One was to increase the local talent pool. It took a little while, but Curry and the rest should be proud.

I think, given the interest in the NFL and all things football, that Kentucky has grown in its interest in football in the last 10 years. Check out the success that Louisville and WKU have enjoyed, an to a certain extent, UK, and it's not hard to see that kids are opting for more of football than in the past.
