Robey gets UK offer


Trinity High School offensive lineman Sam Robey has picked up another scholarship offer and this one hits close to home for the senior-to-be.

Robey, the son of former University of Kentucky All-American basketball player Rick Robey, has been offered scholarship by UK coach Rich Brooks.

"It's very exciting for me," Robey said. "It's a whole different story for me, but it's nice to know I have a chance now to go where my dad went."

Glad to hear he's been offered. Did I mis-hear, but didn't he have more of an interest in Louisville?

To this point, it has been widely reported that Robey is a Card fan.

Which IMO means absolutely nothing. These kids ink where they think they are going to play, make early contributions and many times the position coach is the deciding factor. UL and I am sure other programs as well have lost recruits as a result of the where the kids sweetheart decides to go. An early lesson in life, fellows get used to it, cause the better half knows better just ask her.
