I was driving in my car on Saturday and listening to ESPN Radio's "Gameday" program. Mel Kiper, Jr. was being interviewed about the upcoming college football season and was asked who "this year's Boise State" would be. Mel said he thought Kentucky had a chance if their defense could improve. Before he could get more than a sentence out about it, the interviewer told Mel to pick a team that wasn't from a major conference, so Mel stopped talking about UK.
However, that's a nice endorsement for our potential this year and a good sign that UK's program is "on the radar" of ESPN. Similarly, Colin Cowherd mentioned UK this week when he was discussing how much more improved the SEC is now versus when Saban was last a coach in it.
Just wanted to let you all know, since I didn't see anything about it on the board.
