The glass is half full: Kent State followed up a disastrous 2-10 season, and an 0-2 start, with a five-game winning streak with the MAC East in the palm of its hand.

The glass is half-empty: Kent State completely fell apart losing four of the final five (with the only win coming over lowly Eastern Michigan) as the offense completely fell apart scoring 41 points during the stretch bottoming out with a 41-14 loss to Buffalo to give the division title away.
Which team will show up this year? While it’s never good to get worse as a season goes on, this was a young team that underwent a major face-lift and changed its identity from a pure passing team, with the nation’s worst ground game, to a more exciting running offense thanks to the emergence of QB Julian Edelman and RB Eugene Jarvis.

I smell a cupcake! ;)

Or not. Just take 'em down, claw their eyes out, don't let up until it's 73-7.

It's good to get a "way too early" read on upcoming teams UK will play this season. Besides, what else is there to look forward too?

Dont sleep on Schellenberger's FAU team. They are used to playing the big guys during non-conference. I think they gave Kansas a run for their money a few years back.

I cannot believe you guys are even suggesting a blowout here. From all reports, Kent State has a moblie QB and a solid defense. Coming right before UofL, this game has trouble written all over it. All we need to do is go in thinking it will be over by halftime, and our season could be over.

Yikes.

The senior leadership will not let that happen.

I wasn't suggesting a blowout- I put the ;) icon in to clarify that I was kidding. What I DID suggest is that we pound them hard and don't let up.

If UK has turned the corner, this should be a 14-17 point game. You guys are starting to sound like Lou Holtz and Vince Dooley.

In my best Lou Holtz lisp: " These guys are stacked on both sides of the football, in fact this might be the toughest game we play all season."
