CHESTER -- Chester High School football coach Victor Floyd expects "a bunch'' of his players to sign college scholarships in January.
The first made a commitment Sunday and said he'll honor it no matter who comes calling. Wide receiver Gene McCaskill told Kentucky's coaches he's coming after they made an offer.
Quarterback/defensive back C.C. Whitlock is drawing national attention from most of the powerhouse schools. Running back Terrell Springs is getting looks from Division I schools at defensive back.
The Kentucky coaches were impressed with McCaskill's play in the 7-on-7 passing tournament that was held on their campus in Lexington, Ky.
"I feel good about it,'' said McCaskill, the brother of former USC center Chris White. "I liked the school, the campus and the coaching staff. Some schools were sleeping on me, wanted to wait and see how I did this season. I'm pretty much going to stick with Kentucky because they believe in me.''...
