Dave Ulinski update from June 15

A new scholarship offer is on the table for Louisville (Ky.) DuPont Manuel offensive tackle prospect Dave Ulinski after an impressive showing at a rising senior camp in his hometown.

"On Monday, I got (an offer) from Louisville after I got back from their senior camp," Ulinski said. "I still have my offer from Kentucky from last September."

Ulinski talked about his impressions of the Louisville program.

"It was good to get that offer," he said. "They're one of the up and coming top teams in the nation right now. (New Cardinals head coach) Steve Kragthorpe is a really nice guy and real easy to talk to," he said. "It looked like the players were having a lot of fun, plus he seemed to run a really cool environment, so I like him."

The talent level at the U of L camp also stood out to Ulinski....

I will be most disappointed if we do not sign Mr. Ulinski. Too, while I don't usually play the Blame Game, I think I will have to blame UedK if we don't sign this young man. :icon_lol: Just joking, Ed, AND I figure a fan like you must surely be a "plus" for the Cats' chances. :icon_smile:

Also, Mr. Ulinski says that he is a "UK fan," so that will hopefully end up making a difference. GO CATS!!!

For those who missed the older Dave Ulinski thread; I sat in front of Dave Ulinski's grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Harry Ulinski, for a couple of years. Bigger UK fans you will not find. Of course Harry played for Bryant, had a successful pro carrier and is one of the names we see every fall on the Commonwealth Stadium Ring of Honor.

I we do not land this legacy recruit, I will be as perplexed as possible. I think Dave U. is as thoughtful as his grandparents and is giving all interested parties their due, but when it is all said and done he will be a WildCat.
