Lexington, Ky- The University of Kentucky's basketball program is having a big week as they've already received a verbal commitment from one of the class of 2008's biggest stars and three other high-profile recruits are either in Lexington or coming later this week for visits.
While scouting Rick Bolus’ Blue Chip Camp at Georgetown College, we received word that Billy Gillispie and the University of Kentucky have tabbed their first commitment from the class of 2008 when DeAndre Liggins gave a verbal commitment to the school today.
UK’s first recruit from the rising senior class is also a high profile commitment as Liggins is a 6’6 point forward that is ranked among the top 30 players in the country (and rising).
This is shaping up to be an important week for Kentucky basketball.
