We're closing in on the inaugural release of the first Brooks' Big Blue Board of 2008, which will come on July 1rst. We are also headed towards my final pre-season release of the Kentucky High School Prospect list, which will come July 15th. There is a new number one and several new faces to the list.
1) Rumors are going around about Commonwealth Stadium being expanded again. I'm all for the idea and think it'd be greatly benefitial for the program going forward if it made such a move, but it will be an every year challenge to the fill the stadium for every game. Wildcat fans love a winner and last year the team only lost 1 game at home, yet rarely filled the place to capacity as most griped about the current coaching staff and athletic administration for hiking up season ticket donations. If the UKAA wants to get more bang for their buck, they'd be smart to wait another 10+ years before going through with the move. The better the team is, the higher the demand. More seats mean more people can come in, but it also means non-donation tickets will exist and that's not how an athletic program grows.
