There is a young player (starting his sophomore year of high school)) who may develop into quite a baseball player. Last year (his freshmen year) he started a lot of varsity games (some pitching, the rest were center field and short stop) and continued to start for his freshmen and JV teams at the same positions and do quite well. He had many stolen bases (unsure of the actual number) and actually led varsity on batting average at least for a while. I honestly dont remember the final stats. I also don't know if he will be division 1 ready or quality out of high school but I see some definite potential and so do others as well. He is suppose to play only varsity this season per his head coach earlier this year but that has not been made official yet. HE is probably one of the better center fielders I have seen and seems to be developing into a solid pitcher but, again I don't know as much as I should about pitching to judge to well i guess. He could definately go to solid smaller college or JR. college. How would he go about getting recruited in baseball as far as in the upcoming years? Should he have game film like football and basketball or just make sure accurate stats are kept? I know later on (junior and senior years) there should be some contact made with colleges but when and how should that start? I don't know much about recruiting but would like learn as much as possible. Any sites to look at in reference would be great. Thanks in advance for any help you all can provide.
