The state of Alabama has some gems in this years recruiting class ......

JaMychal Green, PF, 6-8, 205, St. Jude, Montgomery -- Rated the fourth-best power forward in the nation by scout.com and the No. 19 overall player on Rivals 150, Green is considering Alabama and Auburn along with Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State, Texas and Virginia. Green needs development after playing Class 1A basketball, but is an incredible athletic talent. Spent the weekend in Phoenix at the Amare Stoudamire Big Man Academy and will participate in LeBron James Academy in Akron next weekend.

Andrew Steele, PG, 6-3, 195, John Carroll, Homewood -- Rated eighth best at his position by scout.com and No. 49 overall on the Rivals 150, the younger brother of Alabama point guard Ronald Steele is considering Alabama, Kansas, Kentucky, Ole Miss, North Carolina and Tennessee. Steele doesn't have the court savvy of his brother, but he has a little more athleticism and great perimeter shooting in his portfolio.

Xavier Gibson, C, 6-9, 190, Northview, Dothan -- Rated 11th at his position by scout.com and No. 44 overall by Rivals 150, Gibson has been hampered by injuries at the high school level and is too thin for major college play, but his potential has recruiters -- and recruiting services -- singing his praises. He is considering Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Cincinnati, Georgia, Kentucky and North Carolina.
