On the front page of Catspause today, they are talking about a 7ft. center from Texas that we have offered- anyone have any info on him, or his name?

Ian Markolf 2008 Scout Profile
Recently offered a scholly from BCG.

Ht: 6-11 Wt: 215
Position: C
Year: Class of 2008
AAU Team: Hoopzone
High School: Churchill HS
(San Antonio, TX)
2008 Scout.com HS Basketball Rankings (full list):
Pos: C
Pos Rank: #37
Pos Rating:
Scout.com Player Evaluation:
STRENGTHS Defensive Presence Length Size for Position
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT Low Block Scorer Speed/Quickness

Growing into his position. Size is legitimate and he's got the physical tools and frame to make it happen. Like a lot of bigs in his class, needs the confidence that comes from increased strength to make the next leap as a prospect.

Markolf's not ranked on Rivals, but he does have three stars.

Got a pretty impressive offer list, though: Auburn, Baylor, Iowa State, Texas A&M, UK, Stanford, etc.
