I'll be surprised if we don't sign 20 or more. We have a history of over signing and attrition always happens.

I read that we have a max of 12 SRs on scholarship & that Sexton is getting one leaving 11. Throw in 4-5 attrition & you're at 15-16 slots. Net, over-signing to above twenty is a lot. I recollect we signed about 28 for 25 slots last season.

Maybe the kid is not as good as the other linemen UK has their eyes on. He is listed as a one star. I wish the kid well and hope that he has a healthy career.

You obviously haven't done any research on Thompson. He's been blowing up on the camp circut this summer. He goes to one of the smallest football playing schools in the state and didn't really bloom until last year. He's worked hard and is getting a lot of attention. Don't be suprised if some of the big boys don't swoop in and try and snag him away from the Hoosiers. Maybe the kid is not as good as the other linemen UK has their eyes on. That's great for him. But it does nothing to invalidate boomdaddy's point, i.e., it's not what we think but what the staff thinks.

Actually, we signed about 28 for 15 slots last season. The other 10 slots were opened up by attrition.
