Here are a few observations (more on each later):

Georgia guard Trae Golden - a 2010 prospect -continues to rise in the eyes of coaches and scouts. Golden has been sensational and is heads and shoulders above the competition in the 15 & under division. He had 33 in one game and as one assistant coach put it "the kid just doesn't miss." Golden's stock just keeps going up and it appears Kentucky is still the leader for his services. Clemson, Louisville, Georgia and Georgia Tech are among the other suitors for Golden.
Another Georgia star I was really impressed with was Chris Singleton, the 6-foot-9, 220 pounder is the real deal and was the best player on a solid Atlanta Celtics team. Earlier in the spring, I thought it sounded like Tennessee was a lock to land Singleton. But he told me he has re-opened his recruitment and will take unofficial visits as soon as he can to both Louisville and Kentucky. U of L assistant Richard Pitino was in attendance and watched Singleton have a really good game in the early evening session. Singleton also lists Cincinnati, LSU, Florida State, Miami (Fla.), Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina among the schools he;s looking at.
Rose Hill sophomore Chad Jackson is another impressive player from the 2010 class. He is playing on the talented Ohio Basketbal Club and just this week received his first scholarship offer - from Xavier. There have been reports that he also received one from West Virginia but Jackson told me, "I read it in the newspaper but that was the first that I had heard about it. I don't know." Jackson said Louisville and Kentucky are both in the mix but said he "wants to wait and see before I make any decisions."
Jackson's high school and AAU teammate - Dakotah Euton - said his life really hasn't changed since he committed to Kentucky last month. But the Rose Hill sophomore said the commitment has drawn a lot of attention. "It's pretty neat, kids coming up asking for autographs and people saying, 'There's the Kentucky kid'." Euton seems to be enjoying the newfound stardom and his game hasn't suffered. He looked sharp in two games today, hitting a few three-pointers in each contest.
Another OBC sophomore - Trinity's Josh Sewell - continues to impress the scouts and college coaches with his play. Sewell is playing with more confidence in his outside shot this summer. He's on the radar of both Louisville and Kentucky.
Washington (Ind.) center Tyler Zeller said nothing has changed in his recruiting status with nine schools still in the race. Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Purdue and Tennessee are still in the mix. Zeller said he would narrow it down to five after the summer play and then make his official visits.more here(scroll down).... http://www.courier-journal.com/blogs/demling/blog.html
