Oh how I soooo remember that game. My red hubby and I had only been married about a year. We were at a game party. I almost felt sorry for him. Most of the people there were UK fans. I think that deepened his already hatred for UK and the fact I was a fan. I kept very quiet during the game. It was all I could do to contain myself.

As great as that game was, the thing I will always remember about it is that I had tickets to the game and didn't get to go. I was living in Louisville at the time, had tickets and planned to go. My now ex-wife insisted that we go to her parents house in South Carolina for the holidays.

The folks to whom I gave my tickets raved about how great it was to humiliate UofL in Freedom Hall.

I don't think I ever really forgave her for making me miss that game. Maybe that's why she's my ex-wife.

On a more substantive note, I believe Rex is probably the greatest Kentucky High School product in my lifetime.

I loved this game. I was 12 at the time growing up in Indiana so we didn't get all of the games. That was one of the 2 must wins for me, UL and IU. Rex is my favorite UK player of all time.
