I love this kind of attention toward our former players. Good work Jamal.

It's great when any Pro Player does things like this and even more so when it is a former Cat. Way to go, Jamaal.:thumbup:

I was at UK while Magloire was there and met him on several occasions. He was an extremely nice and friendly guy. Had no ego about him what so ever.

Good one. There's no doubt in my mind that play hurt Packer more than Wojo.

Did he tell the kids to not get into cars with people who have drugs on them? I hope he learned from that.

Magloire was never a thug. (A little aggressive at times, maybe. ;)) Several years ago, while Jamal was still playing with the Cats, he did a Q&A on one of the forums (WCF?). I had read that he was majoring in Social Work, so I asked if he planned to do that at some point after his pro career. His answer was in the affirmative, that after he finished his pro career, he hoped to be able to give something back. He said he especially liked working with kids.
Looks like he's decided to strart a little early. Good for you, Jams!

I thought this was a good signing for the Nets. They've got one of the most talented backcourts in the league with Kidd, Carter, and Jefferson and need some defense and rebounding up front. Big Jam's numbers were down last year (6.5 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 0.8 bpg), but he was an All-Star 3 years ago, and he's only 29, so there's a good chance he'll have a bounce-back year now that he's back in the Eastern Conference.
A lineup of Kidd, Carter, Jefferson, Krstic, and Magloire--if all of them are healthy--has a legit chance of winning the East.

Magloire was never a thug.
Agreed. He played with heart and he played hard. I guess I'm a thug too...because I play to win. Come strong or don't come at all.
