...I’ve gotten stronger. I’m working on my mechanics. Just learning to be a complete wide receiver,” said Aaron. Boyd has received offers from N.C. State, Louisville, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, Cincinnati and Miami.

Shane isn’t pushing his little brother to play for Kentucky, although the he played quarterback for the Wildcats.

“I tell him don’t go to the feel good university. Go to where you can make a difference,” Shane said.

The former Wildcat uses former Pittsburgh wide out Larry Fitzgerald and former Georgia Tech wide out Calvin Johnson as examples of players who went to places where their talents were focal points of their respective offensives.

Aaron says he will make a decision after the upcoming high school football season. Right now he’s just enjoying summer workouts with his big brother...

WR Aaron Boyd (6-5 203) of Lexington, KY said that he currently holds over 20 offers from schools all over the Southeast. Boyd has gotten scholarships from LSU, Arkansas, Miami, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Louisville, Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, NC State, Michigan, and many others. Boyd said he went to camps at Louisville, Kentucky, and Tennessee over the summer. "I don't think I'll make anymore," he said. Boyd, who had 40 receptions last season for 730 yards and 5 touchdowns, said that he does not currently have any favorites, "I'm not going to make a decision until after the season." Boyd said that he hasn't texted with any Clemson coaches lately, but that wasn't because they stopped recruiting him. "I broke my phone a few weeks ago and I lost contact with (DL Coach) Rumph. I haven't talked to him since then, but hopefully, I'll be able to text him again real soon." Boyd said that he didn't know where he will take his official visits, but he plans to decide soon.

I happen to remember that Shane was a FINE young man, besides being a fine athlete and player. Thus, I hope that much more that his brother Aaron AT LEAST makes an official visit to Lexington and HOPEFULLY eventually decides to become a Cat. I'm just not giving up hope. GO CATS!!!

The Boyd family seem to be tremendous people and I know they will steer him in the direction they believe to be in this young man's best interest. I am at peace with whatever this family decides to do.

Nice post, Gunsmoke. Too, Aaron must indeed do what is in his best interest. Further, his family's being such fine people makes me want that for him all the more. Having said that, I admit to HOPING Aaron Boyd does NOT believe it's in his "best interest" to become a Cat. :icon_lol: GO CATS! GO RICH!
