Its my new married name not my maiden name...... Lets make a game out of it. For example there is a real estate agent couple in Louisville. His name Harry Head hers.... Anita Head. Did she realize what her name would become when she said "I do?"

You can't make that kind of stuff up. So lets have your favorite real or made up married names. Combine a couple but they must be "famous" if they are not a real couple. It also does not have to be a "traditional marriage."

For example....

Food network cook and barefoot contesa, Ina Garten, marries former local Louisville celeb Darcy Davita.

She becomes Ina Garten-Davita. (get it? The song Inna Godda Davida)

Its your turn.

This isn't on subject exactly, but a lady I work with's last name was Hale. She married a guy named Hall. Confusing enough change for us, but think about writing your name - you just make the last loop a little taller.

I saw a contestant on a game show once named Joyce Joyce.

If my SIL marries her current boyfriend, she'll become Anita Walker.

Anita seems to be a common name for this. I have one and I hoped I don't get banned but it's a true one. My wife worked with a lady named Anita Green. She married a man with the last name of Dick. You put it together.

I also knew someone in school named Richard Dick. If he would have ever gone by the nickname for Richard,Dick,it would have been funny.

It's one thing if the woman marries into the name. But for this guy--what in the world were his parents thinking when they named him???

I kind of wonder the same thing for guys named John Johnson, Jack Jackson, etc.

I know a guy whose last name is Boob. Needless to say his wife did not take his name and continues to go by her maiden name. Can't blame her one bit.

The horrible part about it for him is that his name is Richard. Why would his parents do that to him?

There is a whole list of people that former Blondie lead singer Debbie Harry should never marry.

Former SD Charger running back Marion Butts

Our team shrink… Dr. Wiener

If Anita Madden marries Howie Long, dumps him and then marries the recently divorced Debbie Harry after Harry dumps Dr. Weiner. We have a disaster. Anita Long Harry-Weiner.

This one came from the Alabama Judicial System's Computer...and bear in mind they are listed last name first in the court computer. I was searching for one of my absent parents by the last name of Hornsby...and ran across this instead...(needless to say that was one of those that was printed and passed around...lol) Peter Horny

I have many, many of them I could tell you from working at DHR, but I'm not allowed to since they were parties in a case. I did work in travel for a while and a co-worker told me of a corperate client she once had that caused a stir in her office everytime he called in...his name was Harry Beaver

I heard of a girl named Cinnamon who married a man whose last name is CRISP. thus her name was Cinnamon Crisp.

I do genealogy and have found lots of wild names. On the 1930 census in Nashville I found a family by the name of PIPER and sure enough, they had a son named Peter. WHY would a parent do that to a child... Peter Piper?:rolleyes:Also had a Lucy Morse in my family tree that married a man whose last name was Bucy. She became Lucy Bucy.

On one of the Hgtv shows last month they had a couple named Lilly and the wife's first name was Lilly. She decided not to keep her maiden name so she was Lilly Lilly.

I used to wonder, what were his parents thinking... surely they aren't that naive but I guess you never know. Regardless, he sure suffered!

This is an amazingly funny thread. Some of mine has been taken but I worked with a guy who's friend in High School's last name was Head. His Father's name was Dick, not Richard, Dick. Imagine being at a restaurant or their wedding for God's sake. "Ladies and Gentlemen, may I introduce Mr. and Mrs. Dick Head". The preacher had to chuckle a bit at that one.
