DL Arterio Arnold (6-3 270) of Greenville says he has offers from Maryland, Kentucky, Marshall and Newberry. He also is hearing from USC, Clemson, NC State, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Virginia, Michigan State, North Carolina and Middle Tennessee. He camped at Kentucky and plans to go to games this season at USC, Clemson, Kentucky, NC State and Tennessee. Arnold says he hears from Clemson about twice a week. "Coach Scott said they like me a lot but they have to see how everything else falls, but most likely I'll get an offer," Arnold said. Maryland is showing him the most interest and he's favoring the Terps. "I like their location and their exposure up there," Arnold said. "They have an up and coming program. And they have nice jerseys." Arnold said he won't make a decision until the middle or end of his season. Last season Arnold totaled 125 tackles with 11 sacks.

Kentucky has picked up a pair of talented skilled players from South Carolina's Greenville High School in the form of quarterback Matt Lentz and wide receiver Marckus Boswell.

The Wildcats are back in the school again, this time hoping to land one of the Red Raiders' star linemen. Arterio Arnold, a 6-foot-2, 280-pound defensive tackle, says he is strongly considering a scholarship offer from UK.

"I think they found out about me when they were recruiting some of the other guys on our team and saw me on film," Arnold said. "Plus, we always go to their camp, and I did pretty good up there in the 'Big Man Challenge.' We won that, and after it was over I got a chance to work with the D-Line coach, coach (Rick Petri). He told me that they liked me a lot, that they thought I had great feet for someone my size."..

The last one is a particularly good read. I at least like how our chances sound with this young man right now. Thanks, Andy.

Maryland remains the favorite of DL Arterio Arnold (6-3 270) of Greenville. The Terps have offered along with Kentucky, Marshall and Newberry. "I'm hearing the most from Maryland," he said. Arnold said he will try to go to NC State's opening game against Central Florida, and he wants to get to games at Maryland and Kentucky. Arnold has been getting light attention from Clemson and USC.
