I was in the clubhouse and on the field for Sundays Reds/Marlins game

My brother is a magician/comedian and works out of Florida. I have been visiting him for the last few weeks. One of his best friends works in the Front Office of the Florida Marlins and has him come perform for the players from time to time. He also asked my brother to throw out the 1st pitch of a game last season.

When I got here my brother asked me to look over the Marlins schedule and pick a game I wanted to go to. Of course I picked my Reds and we went this past Sunday. We went into the clubhouse, the broadcast booths, the batting cages(watched Uggla, Hermida, Jacobs and Willingham hit), met Uggla and Oliva, met Tommy Hutton(Marlins Broadcaster and ex-player), met the great Marty Brennaman again and then went out on the field while the players warmed up and stretched.

While we were on the field I was lucky enough to speak briefly with Dunn, Freel, Ross, Arroyo, Phillips, Lopez and Junior(hand shakes and best wishes for the game mostly). We also took pictures with Billy the Marlin before we left the field. I was actually still on the field at the corner of the Reds dugout for the first pitch to Freel. It was cool being on such a historic field, I even took a picture of my feet on the field.;)

BC86, we actually made a comment about the size of the crowd and one of the guys showing us around said it was a big crowd for them.:shock:
