The annual Kentucky Football Kickoff Luncheon, presented by Kroger, has been sold out.

A capacity crowd of approximately 500 will be at the event, which is set for Tues. July 31 at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Lexington. The program will go from noon – 1:30 p.m. and will include Coach Rich Brooks as the featured speaker, plus the highlight video from the 2006 Music City Bowl championship season.

The Kentucky Women’s Football Clinic, which will be held Sat. July 28, also has reached sellout status.

Fan Day Moved 15 Minutes Earlier: The annual Kentucky Football Fan Day, set for Sat. Aug. 4 at Commonwealth Stadium, is now 15 minutes earlier and will begin at 7:15 p.m.

Stadium gates open at 6:30 p.m., when posters and schedule cards will be given away. The first 2,000 fans will receive a coupon for a free hot dog and Coke (redeemable on Fan Day only).

There will be special activities on the stadium concourse. The giant inflatable games will be available for young Wildcats. An equipment stand will be set up and fans can try on UK helmets and shoulder pads. UK athletic trainers also will have a station, demonstrating ankle taping and other activities.

Coach Brooks and the team will be introduced at 7:15 p.m., followed by an autograph session with the Wildcat coaches and players. The autograph session ends at 9 p.m. and the event concludes with a fireworks show.

I believe they said there were 144 of us there yesterday. Had a great time. The 7 or 8 of us, WCN gals, sat together. The coaches and players [that were there] are very excited about the upcoming season. Nice, polite and very people friendly young men. Pictures will be posted soon by someone in our WCN Ladies' group.

I saw Tana and Gilia on the WKYT news.

I guess they'll think they're stars now.

We already thought that. ;):icon_mrgreen:

Wallace saw us also. Unfortunately, I was sound asleep. It was a great day.

Oh, my gosh. I was surely NOT aware of that, RV. Too, while Gillia and I are "twins," I'm going to have to respond differently on this one. Again, oh, my gosh. Second-thought, though, I will have to tell Mr. Poodoo that I am now a "star." :icon_lol:

Back to the clinic itself, though, it was absolutely GREAT. I had needed a great day, and that it was. Both the coaches and the players were just FANTASTIC (including our own DeMoreo :)). We ladies were most fortunate to get to have such an experience. Pulling with all my heart for these polite, impressive young men AND the kind, personable coaches comes so naturally. Yes, I've always pulled for UK, but, yes, I pull even harder because of the type of PEOPLE they are. :) GO CATS!!!

I hate to admit it, WildcatRick. THAT was quick. :)

I do wonder what we were ACTUALLY doing when the camera captured us, though (and SURELY not acting giddy or talking or laughing or anything like that! :icon_lol:) What did Wallace say about our "air time," bleedbluelady? :icon_lol: Actually, I just MIGHT have volunteered to go out there and participate in a drill IF ONLY a television camera had not been around! GO CATS! GO RICH!
