I remember the first time I met Coach Cohen. He shook my hand and told me, 'Rob, I like you. I will let you live.' That was my first hunch that perhaps something was up about this guy. Was he God? Was he an angel sent from heaven? Was he Moses sent to lead us to the promise land?
It was then I stumbled across the picture of Coach Cohen, in an obvious state of bliss (above). The resemblance to the man above was quite clear to me, but others weren't so convinced. It was this doubt that made me take a vow of silence. Why make a fool of yourself making a ridiculous claim?
That was until this morning when I awoke to the news that the University of Kentucky baseball program landed not one, but two Aflac All-Americans (http://www.wkyt.com/sports/headlines/8776552.html). Aflac All-Americans are high school baseball's equivalent to high school basketball's McDonald's All-Americans or US Army All-Americans in high school football. Keep in mind, John Cohen is the baseball coach. At Kentucky. Couple this, with the fact the program is two years removed from an SEC Championship and oh yeah, the picture above. It made too much sense. Far too much.
Apparently, Cohen landed one of the state's best (http://news.cincypost.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070728/SPT01/707280375/1013/SPT) in Cory Farris this morning, too. I mean, why not?
