Here's a game-by-game breakdown of what the Cats are facing:

In his lingo, moderate chance isn't as good as tossup. I don't get the difference.

This could be the year UK gets over that 22-year hump, but remember, a Tennessee team limped into Lexington with a 4-6 record two years ago and still whupped up on the Cats.

The past does not equal the future.

What was the most interesting to me was that Cosby ranked Vanderbilt and Tennessee the same degree of difficulty. Also, he just might be right. Vanderbilt in Nashville, unfortunately, is NOT a "gimme," and UK could certainly upset UT in Commonwealth (and I'm quite hopeful on that one, by the way :icon_biggrin:, at least if the Cats remain healthy). GO CATS! GO RICH!

I agree with you: Vanderbilt is going to be a much better team this year than most people imagine. Change three plays and they'd be an 8 win team last season. Earl Bennett could start at just about any school and Chris Nickson is solid. They are dangerous and IMO likely to go bowling this year (I've never said that about them, ever).

He also rates South Carolina and Louisville the same. I think South Carolina is likely to be much better than people think this season. They could have a surprisingly tough defensive unit. I would love to see those two teams play each other.

I hear you in that regard. The BLUE surely shows up in Vandy, and I have loved being a part of it. However, IF Vandy is doing really well, their fans may show up more than we like. Regardless, yes, naturally, I'm still expecting to win the game., although I think it will be much tougher than many think. GO CATS! GO RICH!

JPS, your specifically pointing out that Vandy has EIGHT wins last season with changing only THREE plays SHOULD catch folks' attention. Too, pair that fact with their returning most of their starters, including Bennett and Nickson in particular, and their being "dangerous" SHOULD be most obvious.

That South Carolina should really be improved concerns me, frankly. Spurrier is MOST confident about his 2007 team. When he was talking about some of his true freshmen's taking some of the veterans' spots, I'm not sure he was simply "talking." South Carolina may well be as good as Louisville. We should have beaten South Carolina last season in Commonwealth. It will be harder to do so at their place this season. Having said that, I am SO HOPING it happens, and it CAN happen.

Regardless, our schedule is UNREAL. The SEC East alone (and we know that Vanderbilt, just discussed, is predicted to finish last in that SEC East) is UNREAL. GO CATS!!!
