Vols favored in tough East
Fulmer pushing team to run better

The Southeastern Conference Eastern Division is hands down the best division in college football. It has three coaches who wear national championship rings, three of the top eight largest on-campus stadiums in the nation (Tennessee, Georgia, Florida) and five of its six teams made it to a bowl game last season.

Each year, there are several teams that can win the division. Sometimes just one play is the difference between who goes to Atlanta for the Southeastern Conference Championship Game and who goes to Atlanta for the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

The East is wide open this year and brutally tough. There are no easy games and I think the winner will have 3+ league losses. UGA still is a big question mark for me. UF should be good but lost an aweful lot of talent. UT hasn't been UT for 5-6 years now. USC should have their best team yet under Spurrier. UK returns almost everyone from an 8-5 team and even Vandy has a pretty decent team. I would say the top 4 have equal chances to win the East(USC, UAG, UT, UF) with UK being a long shot and Vandy having no shot.
