Anybody going to the State tournament at Rupp next month?

My high school's chance of making it is slim to none but a old friend of mine, Patrick Elliott (Women's B-Ball's Sarah's younger brother) and Pendleton Co. has a shot at making it.

I have made an attempt to go to the Saturday morning Semi's each of the last 15 years or so. Growing up, my father would pull me out of school for the Thursday and Friday games each year and I have been hooked ever since. I can remember watching Richie go for 51 against Allen Houston and I remember watching the good PRP and Fairdale teams of the early 90's.

My high school has made it only twice in history. We are in the 11th region, which includes the Lexington schools and now Scott County. So it is rare that we can even compete.

That being said, it is a great experience and it is a blast to see some of the emotion these kids display.

The 11th region, what a monster! Station will be in the Region, so will the winner of Henry Clay vs Scott County Wednesday night. Catholic beat Tates Creek tonight so thier ticket to the region is punched. The winner of lafayette vs Dunbar will join them. Along with these guys im sure you will have the likes of Madison Central and i assume the Jessamine schools are still in the mix.
