I went to see the Brevard County Manatees series against the Tampa Yankees this week. The top prospect in the Yankees system plays for Tampa, and WOW this kid is going to be a good one. I saw Andruw Jones play at 18(highly hyped) and he had nothing on this kid who is also 18.
His name is Jose Tabata and he is an outfielder with a super quick bat. His first hit tonight shot a divot up into the air in center field and his HR last night looked like it was launched.
I had already heard good things about him, but it was special watching him. Heres hoping he ends up a Red somewhere down the line.
If anybody gets the chance to watch him as he works his way up make sure you do so.

Theres also a kid Andy Clark who graduated from Seneca in 2004. His senior year he had scouts from the Yankees, Athletics, Cubs, and I believe the Orioles come to his games. He went to Franklin college in Indiana to play football and baseball but is now focused on baseball. He is a pitcher and in high school he could hit 94. Last I heard he is playing in Ohio and one of the top 10 prospects in the east. And a side note, he was a senior the same time as Brian Brohm, their senior year, he had better numbers than Brohm at QB

Rick, the Reds have a great prospect in AAA named Jay Bruce. He has been moved from A to AA to AAA all in this season and he has excelled in each level. He leads all the minor leagues in extra base hits. I really look for him to replace Dunn sometime next season. I hope the Reds bring him up in September so he can get a taste of the Majors.

Oh yeah, I am really looking forward to seeing Bruce, Votto and Stubbs playing together in GABP someday. Unless of course the Reds find a way to trade them for pitching talent like Milton.;)

HUSH RICK, I heard Krivsky looks at message boards. Don't give him any ideas.

No doubt, I wouldn't want to be the inspiration for one of his masterful trades.:icon_lol:
