I did not know that Mitchell was even attempting an appeal, but when your son runs to Mama after Daddy says no, it probably doesn't make Daddy too happy. We will see how this one unfolds.

With all due respect Poodoo, I don't believe Spurrier had anything to do with this suspension. Missing too many classes was a violation of academic policy. Spurrier couldn't have stopped it if he had wanted to . At least that's the way I interpreted it.

I believe it is Spurrier's job to enforce the rule, however. I think it is fairly common to see kids cutting class and getting away with it. I would also speculate that some kids on USC's campus do get away with it. In other words, I think it is a good move on Spurrier's part to uphold the rule and not try to find any loop holes.
