Both my Daughters came from school (Belfry) today and said the David Jones was rushed to the Hospital for surgery today because of a rupture appendix.
They had started a prayer chain for him at Belfry High School.
Has anybody else heard this?
Not sure if it is true or a rumor.

I can't find anything about it on the news or internet, but she said the teachers at school was talking about it this afternoon. If it is true, hope he is ok.

It is true he was taken in for emergency surgery, looks like redshirt after all, just after 9pm he was still in recovery and the gentleman I spoke with had not been able to see him yet.

Hey Hey we're the Monkees.....
hope he's alright too, luckily an appendix is just about as routine as surgeries can get anymore (but it's still surgery).
Thats not the case with a ruptured appendix. That is not a routine problem.

Watching the Lex news. Coach Brooks said he would be out 1 to 3 games. Said he is still in the hospital being monitored for infection. Didn't sound like they were considering a redshirt. :shrug1:
And, a ruptured appendix is not routine. There is a big risk for infection and even some risk for gangrene. It can be life threatening.

Exactly, bleedbluelady.
Thankfully, because of the abdominal pain David had been having, he had at least already been on the way to the hospital for an ultrasound. The appendix ruptured on the way. I certainly pray that there will be no infection.
