There will be more UofL fans at Papa John's East than uk fans by the start of the 3rd.

I would feel very bad taking your unemployment benefits. Cardboard sales must be at an all time low. Would you rather wager with Monopoly money?

I highly doubt it. Once your fans start sobering up in the second quarter and realize we don't sell beer like you do at the pizza pit, they'll stagger back out looking for the nearest krogers.

Why do you think all your fans wear overalls? It's not because they are all farmers and necks. It's because they can fit a can of Pabst in every pocket to get them through the entire game.

Something tells me your mullet wearing fan base find ways to get alcohol in the stadium. Call it a hunch.

CAll it a hunch, but you couldn't get 30K to show up to watch that weak schedule you play if it wasn't for you hawking beer and offering $5 pappa john pizza coupons.

No, you see, we sold out every game except one last season. The reason they didn't always show up was BECAUSE of the weak schedule. That will change this year. We may not play the toughest schedule, but I'll take West Virginia, Pitt, and Syracuse over East Carolina, Tulane, and Houston every day of the week...and so will the 42,000+ that will pack PJCS to the rim until we expand to 60,000.

Don't disagree and I hope you are right. You have a good product and are a up and coming program. Hopefully your fan base will support you. This isn't meant to be a flame, but in a lot of ways you all remind me of Miami. Good product but poor support. Historically Miami can only sell out the orange bowl if theyare playing the Noles or Gators.

Since we are being serious for a second, I will be honest. I agree 110% with the Miami comparison. Truth be told, I don't think Louisville could fill a 80,000 seat stadium for another 20 years or so....but it will happen someday. I really do strongly believe PJCS will be filled to the rim every game this season. People are really excited about playing better (not GREAT)...but better teams, none the less. I was incomplete shocked when we sent 30,000 to Memphis. It wasn't even a BCS bowl and we still had a great showing. I myself rarely if ever get to go to away games, but found myself MAKE time to go to Tampa (ooooh real rough!) for the South Florida game, and about 12 of us are going to West Virginia. There is just a HUGE difference in the level of excitement when the teams aren't TCU or UAB...well and when the BCS is involved. I think I speak for the majority when I talk about this. I admit, I HATED playing those teams in C-USA. it is TOTALLY different now.

I hear what you are saying. For your sake, hopefully your conference brethern (at least WVU, Pitt and Syracuse) can consistenly hang in the top 25.I'm not sure what would be worse. Playing before a packed house of 42K and missing out on additional revenue or playing with 25% of the stadium empty.

I know that even when our program is truly struggling, the strong conference schedule still draws a full house. Even if 10-15% may be opposing fans. While its not a pretty sight to get overrun at home with a gang dressed in orange. If does fund the athletic department.

Man, to be honest I think the Big East will be one of the stronger conferences next season. Louisville will be top 10-15...maybe better. Dave Wandstet will turn Pitt into a big time program. His recruiting hauling in a great class. Pitt will be a consistent top 15 program in 2 years or less. West Virginia is usually pretty darn good. they are pretty young this season, but should be back on track next. I don't know what to say about Syracuse. Remains to be seen with them. They are a mystery.

Thanks for putting up with my big mouth tonight. It was cool chattin with you, but it's my bedtime man. The wife has yelled down three times, and it has been awfully quiet for the past 20 minutes. Uh oh...not good.

Later man.

Your telling me that ul will be top 15, pitt will be top 15 in a couple of years,wv is pretty good, and syracuse you don't know about and you think you will be one of the stronger conferences. You don't have a clue as to what you are talking about. You better stick to smack talking, you seem to be able to do that with no problem.

Theyrecently have had some really good teams, hell they still may beat us there never know, but I do think the BE needs to make some noise in the next 3 years or could be in trouble on the BCS bubble.

Thanks for bringing that back up, the card fan next to us started that crap towards the end of the first half last Sunday, i mentioned to him that we were still there late in the 4th. The Cards dont want to say it, but they thought they are better than this. They know it is hollow.
