South Carolina fans who are circling the next SEC East showdown on the calendar might be going about three weeks too far.

After getting past Georgia, "Big Three" division rivals Tennessee and Florida are the obvious choices.

But do not ignore Kentucky. Do not overlook that Thursday night game in Columbia on Oct. 4.

Remember: As Steve Spurrier has pointed out more than once, Kentucky finished ahead of South Carolina last season in the division. (The Wildcats were 4-4; the Gamecocks were 3-5.)

Remember, too: UK shocked Georgia on the road and worked over Clemson in the Music City Bowl.

That guy needed to do a little more homework. He obviously got the Georgia game at the wrong place and then said "He guides an offense that has weapons in back Rafael Little, an Anderson native, and tight end Jacob Tamme. Senior Keenan Burton is a dependable target, as well." Calling Burton a "dependable target" is like calling a Porsche a nice commuter car.

He did get one good line in, though. If you read farther down, he says:

"The hype machine that is Tim Tebow will get an official unveiling this weekend in the Swamp."

That was a pretty good one.
